    The first option that you have to make your transfer from Colombo airport to Mirissa is traveling by train. However, what might disappoint you is when you find that there is no direct train option available for you to make the trip.

    The next available public transfer option available for you is making your trip by bus. Similar to train option you get traveling by bus from Colombo airport to Mirissa is not so recommended to make due to the few challenges that you will face when arranging the transfers.

    First, there is no direct transfers available that is connecting the two destinations. So in case you arrive to Colombo airport by a late night flight most recommended is to make an overnight stay and resume your trip from the following day.

    You can either getting to an Airport- Colombo normal bus that takes the route of 187 to reach the location in about 2 to 3 hours of time or you can get into an expressway bus that is arrive to Colombo in 45 minutes. Alternatively, you can get a taxi or a tuk that is a bit more expensive.

    Once you come to Colombo Fort Central railway station you again get two choices to travel. Either to make it by a normal route bus that will take about 4 to 6 hours of time and stops at every bus stop.

    The expressway will make it within 2 hours of time. It is comfortable, faster and air conditioned. Expressway buses are a little bit more expensive in rate.
