This Royal Palace is a wonderful place to admire and learn. You can visit this place in the early morning or evening. Try to avoid the peak sunlight. 

You can rent out a bicycle for cheap rent to reach Gal Viharaya. This is the most preferred way of transport rather than walking to Gal Viharaya ( Stone Temple). Here you can find the ancient stone inscription, ‘Gal Potha’. And also, you can admire the gigantic view of the sleeping Buddha. 

Later go to Dhaladhamaduwa and climb the tall steps which take you to Vatadageya. Don’t ever forget to visit Watadageya when you visit the cultural triangle. 

Kumara Pokuna ( Kumara Pond) is a pond connected to the Parakramabahu lake. But the link has been disconnected from the lake.

So that you can see the depth and the ancient designs inside the Kumara Pokuna without water. It is really an admirable ancient construction.
