Gerard

Gerard is a tourist driver with around 05 years of experience. During his 5-year foreign job career, he had the opportunity to travel to various countries such as South Africa, Kenya, Egypt, Djibouti, Uganda, Ethiopia, Singapore, Malaysia, and Dubai. It was during these travels that Gerard developed an interest in the guiding and driver services provided to tourists. He decided that once his foreign job career was over, he would join the tourism sector in Sri Lanka and provide exceptional service to inbound foreigners.

To prepare for his new career path, Gerard reached out to colleagues already working in the tourism field to gather information and learn about the processes involved in the Sri Lankan tourism industry. He also underwent official procedures and examinations through the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) to establish himself in the trade. With this foundation, Aruna began his journey as a tourist driver and planner, initially providing services to selected friends for round tours.

Aruna is fluent in English, Tamil, Telugu, and Amrich, and has some knowledge of Hindi. This language proficiency allows him to communicate effectively with a diverse range of tourists.

His favourite regions within Sri Lanka are the Central and Southern Provinces, which are known for their scenic beauty, cultural heritage, and attractions. Gerard holds accreditation as a national tourist guide by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA), further solidifying his qualifications and commitment to delivering quality service.
