1. Scope
This policy applies to the DT (Chauffeur) mobile app on iOS and Android. It does not cover third-party websites, services, or apps that may be linked from within the App.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in three ways: (A) information you provide, (B) information collected automatically, and (C) information from device permissions you choose to enable.
A) Information you provide
Depending on how you use the App, you may provide:
- Profile details (e.g., name) for personalization and app functionality.
- User content you add to the App, including photos/videos (for example, if you attach images related to tours, expenses, or documents).
- Tour and business records you enter (e.g., tour schedules, distances, incomes, expenses, notes).
B) Information collected automatically
When you use the App, we (or our service providers) may collect:
- Device/app identifiers such as an internal User ID used for app functionality.
- Usage data (e.g., product interaction) to understand how features are used and improve the App.
- Diagnostics (e.g., crash data and performance data) to keep the App stable and fix issues.
C) Location information (if enabled)
If you allow location access, we may process:
- Precise location and/or coarse location (for example, for tracking or analytics depending on enabled features).
Note: You can disable location permissions at any time in your device settings. The App may still work with limited functionality.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use information for:
- App functionality: to create and manage your tours, expenses, distance logs, reminders/notifications, and profile settings.
- Personalization: to personalize your in-app experience (e.g., showing your profile name).
- Analytics & improvement: to understand usage, improve features, and maintain performance.
- Security & fraud prevention: to protect the App, users, and our services.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information only in these cases:
- Service providers (e.g., crash reporting, analytics, hosting) who process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards.
- Legal requirements (to comply with law, regulations, or legal process).
- Business changes (merger, acquisition, or asset transfer—users will be notified where required).
5. Data Storage, Retention, and Where Processing Happens
- We retain information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including legal/accounting obligations and dispute resolution.
- If the App stores your tour/expense data only on your device (local storage), then data remains on-device unless you export/share it.
- If the App uses cloud sync/backups, specify: what is stored, where (region), and retention period.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
7. Your Choices and Controls
You can:
- Edit profile information in the App (where available).
- Withdraw permissions (Location, Photos, Notifications) via device settings.
- Request access/deletion of personal information we hold (see Section 10).
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version in-app and/or on our website, and update the “Last updated” date above.
